Blossoms and Butterflies!

Hello!

Can you believe it's Wednesday?

Is it just me, or is anyone else

worried about how quickly the week is

going by?

I have way too much to get done this

week and

I NEED MORE TIME!!

Mother's Day is this weekend

and I have been super busy with

the children here as we work on

their mother's day gifts.

I still need to figure out what I'm

getting for my dear mother!

Have I mentioned that I need more time?

 

I certainly can't complain about the weather!

It's been GORGEOUS!

What's that I hear?  THUNDER!

Oh No! They are predicting yucky

weather with rain and thunder

until after Mother's Day!

That means No

Mother's Day Barbeques

this weekend!

 

However, I will have more pressing

problems with all of the thunder!

The little children who come here

to my preschool are afraid of thunder!

The rest of this week will be difficult

as I try to entertaine and distract the children

from the loud booms!

 

Well, I will just have to make the best of it!

Everything will work out!

 

I had fun coloring last night and

I have a card to share with you!

I tore the image out and inked the edges with

Stampin Up Crumb Cake ink

Stampin up cardstock, Butterfly embosslets die and button

Really Reasonable Ribbon, Lace and ribbon

Cheery Lynn heart die cut

eksuccess pearls  (I love the yummy mint green color)

Wild Orchid crafts corner embellishment

I'm sorry that I don't know what the pretty  DP is.

I actually got it on E-Bay and they were all single sheets.

The stick pin is made with my stash of beads.

For my DT card
I used Mo's "Nurse" digi
to make my daughter's birthday card.
She is a nurse!  How perfect!
I enjoyed using soft pastel colors
and kept the embellishments simple
so that it would go inside an envelope.

Stampin up cardstock and sentiment.

Large label punch and large oval punch

K&Company dp and scraps.

Recollections cupcake

 

My dear husband is home healing from his surgery now.

I feel so bad because he is in so much pain.

However, it is Healing pain, so we will be fine.

One day at a time!

We have so very much to be thankful for!

We certainly do appreciate all of your prayers.

God blessed us with three wonderful children.

My oldest  daughter brought us dinner last night!

She has been wonderful running around doing errands for us!

When my husband needed to get some more comfortable and loose

gym pants, she went to the store and BROUGHT IT TO US!

I'm not kidding!  She bought 7 pairs of pants for us to choose from

because he wasn't well enough to go to the store!

We chose two pair and she is going to return the rest.

How sweet is she?

 

Today is a very special day for all of us at my house because

it's our youngest grandson's 1st birthday today!

Happy 1st Birthday Lukey!!

My daughter is having an adorable ducky theme.

She made adorable ducky cupcakes to celebrate with the children

here in my preschool!

We will be having a big family party when my husband is doing better.

FBD May Prize Challenge/FLOWERS!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

I'm totally in love with this gorgeous

our card making pleasure!

 

She is just perfect for our

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?

 

 

I have to tell you that things have been super

crazy here at my house.  My husband was ill all

weekend and then Monday we found out that he

needed surgery.  My poor hubby!

We need to check into the hospital for his surgery

at 9:30 A.M. this morning.

I've certainly been praying a lot!

I wasn't sure if I would be able to finish

this card at all!

Then Tuesday evening, (Totally last minute) I took

a deep breath and started coloring this gorgeous image.

It was the first time that I was able to sit and focus on

something besides reality since last Friday afternoon.

Please excuse the poor photography.  It was late at night

when I took this picture.

I'm disappointed in the red hair.  It was my first time trying

to color red hair and wouldn't you know, I was missing the two

major color copic markers.

I did try to substitute different colors, but it just didn't turn out

the way that I was hoping.

 

Well I am off with my hubby to get him all fixed up!

This is my first attempt at making a

Shabby Chic Card

This was a whole new experience for me!

I inked all of the edges up and made it

look very old!

I even inked the edges of her paper pieced dress!

It turns out that I like to play with ink!

I used all scrap paper too!

Even the pretty ribbon was one left over

end piece that I had left in a bag of ribbon scraps!

The cardstock and papers are scrap pieces

along with the bits of lace and ribbon from my stash.

Spellbinderss scalloped oval

I made the hearts and flower with punches

The butterfly is Bo Bunny
