Blog Candy thank you for my followers and a New Fussy and Fancy Challenge!

Happy Friday everyone!
We have a brand new challenge at
Fussy and Fancy this fortnight.
Our latest challenge is
Vintage with distressing and lace
Well, I'm really bad.
First of all this was a huge challenge for me because it is
totally out of my comfort zone.
I had to go out and buy the supplies to use on this card.
(After I watched several tutorials on You tube!)
However, I really did have lots of fun playing with the ink!
Second of all, I just now realized that my card is supposed
 to have lace!
Ugh!  I thought it was Vintage with distressing!
So here is my DT card

Have you ever thought that your card was, "Ok"?
And then when you look at the actual picture of it
you realize, "I shouldn't have done that" or
"It's missing this"?
Well, It happens to me all the time.
Looking at my card, I realize that I should have
weathered or inked my flower more.
I actually had a Tim Holtz tissue tape "music note"
flower made, originally that looked pretty good.
Don't ask me why I swapped it out.
I simply  couldn't tell you.
Recipe
Black and cream cardstock from Stampin Up
I stamped the back piece of cream cardstock
with white adirondack lights acrylic paint
using a leaf pattern rubber stamp.
Then when it was dry, I inked over it with
Tim Holtz Distress Ink  bundled sage
For the stamped image section
I used two inks on the cream paper
Tim Holtz  bundled sage
and a small amount of tumbled glass
I wanted this piece to be more of a
blue green than the green piece
behind it.
when it was dry, I stamped it with a
Hero Arts vintage stamp in black
I sanded and distressed all of the edges
and put it all together with some dotted ribbon
and my ahem..... flower.

For some really impressive vintage cards and projects
please stop by our
to see what our lovely design team has to show you!
Then we hope that you join in on the fun!

On a personal note
I feel horrible that I haven't been able to
to visit your lovely blogs more.
I simply love to admire all of your beautiful
and creative work.
I'm so very touched that you still take the time
to comment on my cards even though
I haven't been by to visit you!

Anyway, because I truly do appreciate all of you so
very much, I want to offer some candy!

All followers old and new are eligible!
Thank you for being so wonderful
Oh....and please don't worry about
commenting on this specific card. ;-)
 You can comment on
any cards that I have posted.
I hope that all of you have a wonderful day!

Blog Candy/Gift Card Holder for Fresh Brewed Designs HOT Blog Hop!

Welcome to the July Fresh Brewed Designs Three Day HOT Blog Hop! If you are getting here from  the very lovely and talented, Catherine's blog then you are right on track. If you are just finding your way to our super HOT, fun filled, extra caffeinated, and mega sassy blog hop, then please start at the beginning here:
Freshly Brewed Challenges.

The Fresh Brewed Designs Team and Guests have put together an exciting and oh so HOT blog hop TODAY and ALL THIS WEEKEND featuring handmade cards inspired by our new released Rubber Stamps. Now you may be thinking, I have seen these before. Why, yes! Yes you have!!! But not like this!!! They have all been carefully re-sized. They are approximately 1/2 inch smaller than the original stamp, but just as sassy and hot as ever! For you, this means that more of your card will be visible so you can add your layers, embellies, use your nesties and all of that other fun stuff just a bit easier than before. The larger size is still available and still wonderful ... but now you have the option to choose which size works best for your stamping style!
All re-sized stamps are available cling mounted on 1/8 inch cling foam to use with your acrylic blocks or un-moutned. All of Fresh Brewed Designs stamps are made in the USA with deeply etched red rubber so you get a perfect impression every time!

I made a gift card holder with
Some things Are Better Rich
This was super easy to make and I
will be sure to do a tutorial on it real soon!
This fun stamp was quick and easy to
color in with copics and it was fun to stamp
and paper piece her pink dotted towel!
This gift card holder measures 3" x 4 1/4"

I can't think of a more thoughtful gift
than to treat someone with a gift card
to a spa!  And this stamp is perfect
for personalizing your card or gift card holder.
I sure do wish that I was at a spa right now!

I'm offering a little embellishment candy for my followers
OLD and NEW!

Any comments left on any of my cards during the next
three days will be submitted for the drawing.
I will be back with another card tomorrow!  ;-)

local town Carnival last night.  My two year old grandson,
Jacob, went on a couple of rides for the first time and enjoyed
dancing to the music from the live band playing on the town common.  My other grandson, Luke, is only 8 weeks old and he
slept through the whole event. ;-)
Its raining right now, but it will hopefully clear up
later this afternoon.
